Maury County Arrest Records

Maury County arrest records are criminal records that establish that someone was arrested, state why they were arrested, and provide other information about the circumstances of the arrest.

Tennessee presumes that arrest and booking records, incident or offense reports, and arrest reports are subject to public inspection. This presumption is necessary to maintain transparency in how law enforcement conducts its public safety business.

Law enforcement may provide these details of an arrest:

  • Name of the arrested individual
  • Date, time, and location of arrest
  • Arresting agency or officer
  • Cause of arrest
  • Custody status

Following Tenn. Code § 10-7-504(a)(2)(A), law enforcement is not obligated to disclose arrest information if public knowledge might harm an investigation. Juvenile records under Tenn. Code § 37-1-153 and expunged or sealed records under Tenn. Code § 40-32-101 are also unavailable to the public. In addition, agencies typically redact sensitive personal information from reports provided to a public requester.
